Love & Respect

My grandma turned me on to this amazing book. the full title is; The Love she most desires, The Respect he desperately needs. by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. I would recommend this book for everyone. It is written for married couples, but I believe anyone will benefit from it. The ideas are simple enough but at the same time they can revolutionize a relationship. Please read it. There is also a web site call: LoveAndRespect.com, once there go to the free movies and you can get a glimpe of that this is all about. If at all possible go and see one of his semnars. There is currently a free one offered at Church of Christ at Pueblo Blvd. every Sunday at 6pm until 7:15pm. this Sunday the 23rd will be the third part out of 6. The book is a Fouce on the Family book, and that can also speak for its self. Hope you get as much out of it as I have!

Jane Austen

I'm still reading Becoming Jane Austen, and my Mom and Dad bought me Becoming Jane for Valentine's day! I watched it last night, as the second time I've seen it but the first since having started reading the book, and even though they had to use thier imagination with much of it, I believe they kept to some strong truths, they also kept in line with the feel of Jane's novels, which is, I do think, a very good way to fill in the blanks in her history that we do not know about. Also they dramitized parts that were more feeling and thought into action which is often the only way to convay such things in movies.

It has definatially made me want to reread Pride and Prejudice. But I am going to make my self wait until I finsh Jane's book. Also I have refreshed my desire to read Tom Jones. I tried reading it before but could not contenue for that manner in which it was written, but I do think that the library has it on CD and that will work very nicely indeed!

Zara's Bath

Poor dear, she really does not like having to bathe. But when she's all done, she zooms around the house and twrills in circles! She may be a bit crazy but we love her.

Becoming Jane Austen

I am reading a very nice biography on Jane Austen. I was most picky in choosing this book as I love Jane very much and I want the truth, not what someone else thought she was. And nicely enough the Acknowledgements pages tell a great deal. The first parargraph sights organizations, such as the British Library, the Society of Genealogies, and the Jane Austen Memorial Trust. The following two paragraphs thanks Austen's and Lafroy's family members and other such reliable sources.

I am close to half way through and enjoying it very much. the aurther is very good about letting you the reader know what is fact, and where it came from, and what is her interpertaion! I haven't finished but as of so far I would recommend this book to any to who loves Jane.

Happy reading!

University

Been working on the application to attend University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. One of my transcripts was lost in the mail and thing are delayed. Some times...

Inspite of that I am excited to be moving to Springs and attending the University. I don't know where I will be living yet, but I am hoping to find a very small studio, located somewhere between the univeristy and church. To have a place on my own... =) I love my parents and no one could ask for more thoughtful and "none intrusive" parents, but I truely need a space of my own. I've been very blessed, my friends Anne and Dave have moved, and they offer me some things for my new place! Not only will it less things I have to find and buy but it also nice to have things that once belonged to those you care for.

This is not a picture of the University I will be attending, but it is a picture of what I dream of. This is how a University should look. The brother of the university I am going to looks some what like this , but I have no desire to live in Boulder.

Which is faster, turtle or hare...

I've been spending my days off work of working on finances and school. It amazes me how fast time can go when I am really fouced! My biggest desition that I am trying to make right now is wether it would be cheaper to work part time while I am going to college or to simple not work and go as fast as possible 16 to 18 credits in the regular semsters and the summer full. Because either way I will need to get student loads and working and going to school will drag it out to 3+ years. While doing just school I might be able to fit it into 2 years! And it looks from my calcutations that I will end up in less debt, by going the quick way. But I need to talk to a couple more advisers before I will know for sure. There is always different ways to look at one thing.

Of course there is always the opption to work full time and go part time to the University, but it would take ever so much longer... twice or three times accually, depending which senario we are talking about!!!!! Ha!

I would rather be on the verge of falling and let my security be in the all-suffirincy of the Grace of Gad than to live in some kind of pietislice illusion of moral excellence ~ not that I don't want to be morally excellent but my faith isn't in that idea that I'm more moral than anybody else. My faith is in the idea that God and His love are greater than whatever sins any of us commit. ~ Rich Mullins
